- Contains all-natural and organic food-based ingredients for organic gardening that are non-toxic.
- The unified and stable oil blends better and is safer than other oils for plants; it mixes easily with water without separation and does not burn or suffocate the leaves, affect the plant’s development, or change the fruit’s taste or flavor.
- Safe for human, pets, bees, ladybugs, and other beneficial predators.
- It can be used from seedling up to the last day of harvest.
- Due to its natural ingredients, GrowSafe is exempt from EPA registration under FIFRA Section 25(b) as a minimum risk pesticide.
I live in South Florida and in December of 2018, I bought a ghost pepper plant at a local nursery. I had grown plants before, but never a super hot pepper. I got it because it had half a dozen peppers already growing and it was just a matter of time for those to ripen and soon I would be able to tell if it was something worth keeping or just move on. Several weeks later, the little plant grew more and more, about 5 of those original peppers ripened and I made a Chile Ceniza sauce, based on a Yucatecan recipe that I learned from watching a lady and her family running a street taco stand in Cozumel. I just replaced the habaneros with my 5 little ghost peppers and the sauce turned out amazingly good. I was hooked instantly and decided to expand my repertoire of plants. Invested hours researching and selecting different hot and super hot pepper varieties, purchased several seeds online and went at it. Learned a lot from YouTube videos posted by Peter Stanley and Khan Starr, as well as a series of books and guides I bought on Amazon. Started seeds and moved them into cups. It was around late June 2019 when things started to look very promising. Moved plants from cups to larger pots and shortly thereafter, problems started. Rainy season brought whiteflies and they took a liking to my plants. At first, I did not think much of it, just googled here and there, saw a few more videos from other knowledgeable contributors and when I started to see a decline in the health of my plants, I went to my local home improvement superstore and got some neem oil. It’s sort of worked, but I would rate it around 60% effective at best. The whiteflies would bounce back and just attack my pepper plants relentlessly. I lost a few of them from whiteflies and after trying more neem oil, dish soap, sevin, plant soap, other store bought pesticides, I realized it was just going to be a compromise. Some of the plants would make it, others would not. More research brought me to GrowSafe. I bought a little bottle of their insecticide on Amazon, called the support line, spoke with a representative, prepared a 3% batch and went to town. This worked much better than the neem oil, and much better than anything I’ve ever tried before. I would rate it at 97-99% effective after one application... and 100% after 2 consecutive treatments, 2 days apart. That was the end to my whitefly problem. Then came hurricane Dorian and my plants developed more problems, some sort of bacteria that from researching a bit, I concluded was from too much rain water and excessive humidity. That bacteria pretty much whipped my plants out in a matter of hours. The leaves just developed some sort of slimy appearance and would fall off in no time. Fortunately, I still had a bunch of small plants in cups, the ones that did not grow as nicely as the ones I moved into larger pots. I applied GrowSafe to the runts of the litter, most of which were still in cups, discarded all the larger plants and pots, pretty much started again. My larger original ghost pepper plant got a big trimming, it had turned into a small tree... but I could not move it indoors during the hurricane and to help it pull through sustained winds, I had no choice but to prune it big time. By the way, it was too heavy and making itself at home in a 20 gallon pot. It was just too big, so I pruned it heavily, and hoped for it to bounce back. After the storm passed and I had a chance to clean up, I had 20 new little plants trying to grow, plus a larger one trimmed down to almost nothing. Went at it with lots of enthusiasm and sure enough, things took off once again. Back on track. Plants just took off, they grew in a matter of weeks. I stopped using the GrowSafe because I did not see the need, even though I was advised to keep a low maintenance regime to help them stay healthy. A couple of weeks went by and all of the sudden, I started to see a new problem. This time it was specific to new growth on the pepper plants. Just the very tip of the plants. Not all, just several varieties. I lost all Brazilian Starfish plants from this. I took my camera, fitted it with a 100mm macro lens and figured out the problem. It was some type of spider mite, so I fixed a 3% batch of GrowSafe and that immediately cured the problem with one application. Managed to save my charapitas, FL grove peppers, rocotos, ghost peppers, piñas, and a couple of bird pepper plants. I should have learned my lesson by now, but since the weather is starting to change for the better, temps are cooling down in my neck of the woods, I let off the GrowSafe because again, I did not see the need to keep re-applying, specially if it all is looking pretty good. This week, I noticed another problem, lots of ants hiding inside new growth and damage around the tips; however, not really like the spider mites. In any case, I took the camera out and found aphids had now started to attack some of the plants. GrowSafe to the rescue and we are doing pretty good right now. Ants apparently farm aphids as they like to eat their excrement. My larger ghost pepper, the little tree that got me started last December is doing great. It’s full of new blossoms, healthy growth and the trunk of the little tree is easily one inch in diameter if not more. The runts I planted after the initial setback have blossomed too, with several peppers starting to show just now. Haven’t harvested much just yet, but in a few days if all goes well, we should be getting some fruits. My take home message after this experience is to keep GrowSafe in my garden supply cabinet and to follow a health sustaining regime from here on out. I would recommend this product, specially if you are not wanting to try an assortment of different products that in my personal experience, seemed to provide some relief, but not cure. GrowSafe as of this writing, is the best product I have been able to find thus far. PS: I’ve used it on ornamentals, specifically white roses, and it’s helped to keep thrips off new growth. This stuff works.
I bought this after a friend recommended it. He used it as a preventative. But I already had a PM problem. I tried H2O2 first which seemed to stop the PM from spreading, but didn't get rid of it. Then I tried this. Mixed up a liter in a spray bottle. The concentrate is white and a little oily, and the wet spray looks like milk, but dries almost invisible. I completely drenched my plants, doing my best to get tops and bottoms of all leaves. The next day more than 90% of the white spots were gone. Truly amazing. In the end I maybe lost less than 1% of my crop due to powdery mildew. For that alone I'd say this stuff was worth every dollar. Well when I went to harvest the last plant in my garden I noticed that the tallest parts of it had aphids! Not too bad but they were there. I realized that I didn't spray this part of the plant as well, giving it a wafting of spray but not really drenching it. It was in the sun and didn't have PM so didn't think it was critical. I now suspect the spray spared rest of the plant from an aphid infestation and significantly limited damage to the top colas. I honestly believe this stuff saved my crop twice. I did wash my crop using baking soda and lemon water when I harvested. Maybe not needed, but seemed like a good precaution, more so for any potential pests that might still be on the plants. The spray itself is organic and made out of things you probably already are eating. Compared to Neem Oil this stuff is safer, less smelly, and generally more pleasant to deal with, and actually works. But it is still an oil based emulsion, so be mindful of what you spray it on. Next year I will buy another bottle of this and also a better sprayer so I can reach those top branches. 8.5oz goes a long way for a small outdoor garden. If I sprayed 1L per week, I'd get about 25 preventative treatments, which would probably last a whole season. If you're on any kind of commercial scale you might try a bigger bottle. The six month shelf life after opening means you should really only buy what you think you'll use this year. The expiration date on the bottle I received was July 2022, so an unopened bottle could sit until next season.
The quality of the product seems like what I need & it’s the perfect size for my job
I've tried probably a dozen different insect and mite repellents over the last few years on my citrus trees and other indoor house plants that get spider mite infestations. This stuff completely coats the leaves tops and bottoms and sticks on good. I tried to avoid spraying until the end of the light cycle so that the drips don't burn the leaves. I also like to rinse it off after 12:00 to 24 hours or else it does leave a bit of a residue. However, the residue can also be beneficial because it seems to keep the bugs off the plants even after the initial application. 2 to 3 applications of this, and then a follow-up a few weeks later, and I haven't had any mites in 3 months. Very pleased! I use this in combination with neem oil and other things but I think this stuff is the key. Also like that it is non-toxic and animal safe!
I’ve had really good success with this product on my outdoor garden and citrus trees. Everything from flowers, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and stone fruit. I’ve seen no issues with leaf burn or anything along those lines, goes along way with treating garden pests like aphids. Like that it can be used with other treatments as well.
Had some amphyds in a couple special plants, tried some of the quick go to’s to rid this problem. They would work to take out some but they would always be back in a day or two. Tried this 2 days ago. Not any site of anything as of yet. This is the only product I’ve used in which I didn’t see any the next afternoon.
I got the small 8.5 oz bottle to test it out because every day I was seeing fresh spots of mildew and either thrips or spider mites (possibly both) and my bottle of insecticidal soap was running low. My plants are in an outdoor greenhouse that is not sealed with insect netting and I'm trying to avoid synthetic pesticides and fungicides if possible. After the first spraying I found only 1-2 spots of mildew and the thrip/mite damage slowed significantly. After the second spraying I haven't seen a spot of mildew since and about 95% of the leaves are totally healthy and thrip/mite free! And since I heard they have great customer service and they spent a lot of time and effort researching it I figured I would write them an email and left my number. They called me back and we talked for a good 20 minutes about my issues, how to use the product best, what it's ok to mix with etc. We talked in detail about thrips too, because the product is not marketed to work vs thrips but in tests they found it was effective in higher concentrations on adult thrips. However, thrips lay their eggs in the soil which means its incredibly difficult to get rid of them for good, and there are many species of thrips and a couple were resistant to it so they couldn't say it works on all thrips. But it can be mixed with some insecticidal soaps and spinosad products (call them and ask about the brand you want to use, they've probably tested it!). Overall I'd say if mildew is your only issue this is hands down the product you need. For mites I don't have the tools to check and know 100% for sure but every black dot I've found so far was dead as a doornail. For thrips its a bit of a mixed bag but that's why they don't put it on the bottle and you should call and ask about your areas species of thrips if you are curious. I'm in central California and we have a lot of species of thrips over here so I'll probably be supplementing this with another product and getting sticky traps. But I'd say for any situation it's good preventative care - you really start to notice the difference after you've sprayed a few times. Some final thoughts for anyone who isn't sold yet: -What other pesticide or fungicide lists 100% of it's ingredients? And do they all sound like something so harmless you might find it in a face cream? GrowSafe is truly safe, I couldn't feel better about using it on my plants -This stuff goes a long way vs mildew so if that's the only reason you're using it you can stretch it pretty thin (1-2%) -If you're comparing it to neem oil and think neem oil is totally safe, do yourself a favor and wiki neem oil and scroll down to 'toxicity'. Neem oil has it's applications, but anywhere near the end of a season it should be kept far away from plants you will ingest in any form -That protective layer they talk about isn't a sales gimmick. You can actually see shiny spots after the first spraying and, eventually, the entire leaf will be a rich healthy green - the plants like it! (and the dead bugs speak for themselves) -Their customer service is outstanding. Seriously, just send an email or give them a call if you have any questions!
Es el mejor producto que he comprado para mis plantas. Aora están más ermosas y sin plagas

I have a few indoor plants that get spider mites every year when I bring them in and sometimes I end up cutting off all of their leaves and branches and letting them start over but this product really seems to work to get rid of most of the spider mites, especially on my Lemon tree Which is now making a comeback.
I have a variety of indoor palms so I’ve dealt with spider mites too many times. I have not been able to find a product that is effective without burning the leaves or drying out the plants. I tried GrowSafe after reading the reviews and was so impressed after the first application that I ordered the larger bottle. I applied the product on my larger palms with a sprayer I got at Home Depot ($10) so the palms were well covered. The product has almost no odor which was a relief after using so many noxious products like Neem Oil. The leaves were not burned or dried out and looked healthy after application. I had some questions and contacted the company. Someone responded right away and was extremely pleasant and helpful. He even offered to look at any pictures of my plants I wanted to send for additional help. After several days I found no mites on any plants but applied a second application to make sure. Again it was easy and odorless with no negative effects on my palms or other plants. I even applied the product to some of the smaller plants indoors. After a couple weeks my plants are healthy and more-free. I have recommended this product to everyone I know who has plants (indoor or outdoor) and even brought a sample to the nursery where I get my plants. I plan to continue using GrowSafe as a preventative measure against pests. The only concern I had had about the product was the shelf life but when I contacted the company he informed me that the product does last longer than 30 days. He told me it should last about six months and would last longer if stored in the refrigerator after opening (about a year). Any product that has been mixed can also be stored in the refrigerator and used within 7-10 days. He said that when the product has expired it will to start to separate and will have a layer of oil on the top so I’d know whether it was good. If you have any plants I would absolutely recommend GrowSafe for pests or prevention. This is by far the best product I have tried.
So I purchased the 8 oz bottle of this because I have a Croton plant with spider mites. My daughter had two plants she has kept all through college and they were infested. I convinced her to throw them away. Two days later I saw this and realized my own little Croton had spider mites all over IT. I couldn't wait to try it. I did get the package and read the instructions. I then read where it said EXPIRES one month after opening. So, if I only needed 7 ML's of this for an 8 ounce sprayer of water for one plant, then by MY math there would be a HUGE amount of this that I am going to be dumping down the drain??? I paid around $22 to spray a $7 Croton plant a few times before this is expired? Frankly, if it DOES work, it really doesn't matter because I can't afford $22 a month to spray my plants to keep the mites away for the rest of this plants life, unless ONCE you use this, the mites never return??? Maybe I am way off here? I guess I really didn't READ the label before I bought it. If I had a large garden I would use it... maybe? I would just have to buy a bottle again in one month, correct? Why don't you offer a one ounce container for those of us who have house plants. Even one ounce would be too much. Oh, nevermind. I will look for something else. Product is probably fantastic if you can afford to buy it monthly. I can't. So …?? I am just very disgusted at myself for buying this not realizing it was a one shot deal that expires in a month. MY MISTAKE. I don't usually write reviews when I don't really know about how good the product worked, and those reviews annoy me. I just want people to know THIS EXPIRES IN ONE MONTH. I gave 4 stars because it's organic and people say it DOES work... I subtracted one star for them not posting in very large letters that it only lasts 4 weeks. My bottle says ONE month, the label picture on here says 2. Even so, I couldn't use 1/15th of this bottle in two months. PLEASE offer this in small packets or something to the people who have house plants. It's a waste of product. Do I dump this product down the drain? What do we do with it? I have almost 80 plants in my home... all healthy except this one Croton. I would be a repeat buyer for small packets of this liquid. Please consider it.
I used on my tomato and basil plants, it killed the aphids and kept them off.
I’ve been using this product for about a year now on my hydroponic plants and haven’t been as diligent about applying it preventatively as I should. One of our new indoor potted plants must have came with spider mites and they were passed onto our hydroponic system; I rinsed the affected plants and then applied a ton of GrowSafe. It’s been over a month and I see zero evidence of spider mites now. Very pleased!
The best in the market spray it every week to keep the aphids away from your plants

I’ve been using this product to combat Broadmites , Thrips , and Aphids in my indoor and greenhouse garden for 2 months now. I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it works knocking these persistent Borg down while maintaining excellent plant health. I’ve tried just about everything on the market and as a organic grower, I cannot use dangerous products for all the obvious reasons . Grow Safe if used properly (read the instructions) has made a few potential bad situations turn for the better. It compliments your foliar regiment quite easily. I add kelp, labs, molasses , and other ingredients when needed . But for the most part, this product alone will revive plants making them thrive when you eliminate the risks bugs and mold threaten. Yes I have no powdery mildew or rot using this product . No odors no burn no set back - just great results
During covid I went a little crazy buying indoor plants like people were getting dogs.... I ended up with over a hundred plants and of course meant at some point I would be getting some spider mites at least... And of course they came and they killed and I tried EVERYTHING to save my beloved plants! This stuff is the ONLY thing that works and works the first time. Yeah the bottle expires after a few months (I always write my expiration date on the cap from when I open it) and yes I waste a lot which is sad but I have made MANY batches with 1 bottle and had some to share with others so I don't really care. I think it's still cheaper than trying every treatment out there that are at least 8 bucks a bottle. You do have to be good about spraying your plant like it says every 3 days for a total of 3 times BUT they are gone for good! I do however re spray maybe every 6 weeks just in case. I have gotten new mites by not doing that and sprayed again for the 3 days and gone. The best part is my plant doesn't die or have to drop leaves! Also it doesn't stink like neem! And it's not harsh like other pesticides and works for a lot of problems. Perfect for my rubber trees and fiddle leafs that are sensitive to pests if you forget to water them.

Firstly...this product WORKS ..if you use it as intended ..GET A GOOD SPRAYER !! It’s important to cover tops and bottoms of leaves entirely .. Secondly ..The CUSOTMER SERVICE .. Never in my life ...have I seen anything as good as their customer support ..truthfully amazing Be confident and buy this product. The leaves on my plants look even healthier than before they love it ..And it Kills APHIDS .. UPDATE !!! I’ve only sprayed this product on my plants twice ..I AM COMPLETELY PEST FREE AS WE SPEAK ... I’ve added a couple new pics ..one to show where the range was occurring and has grown out ..and new growth shows zero signs of any pests sucking the life from my plant !! Buy this product ..buy an adaquate sprayer !! Also do yourself the biggest favor and call the number on the bottle before you spray .. The customer service staff behind this product truthfully will not be happy until you have success ...they truly want you to succeed and will not stop until that happens ..I get contacted every day almost by their customer service ..awesome product with an absolute guarantee it will work if used properly !!! UPDATE 2 !! Added new pics of beneficial insects still visiting my plants ..this was just a few hours after spraying early in the morning before direct sunlight …Awesome product ! If you have pests concerns on plants you are growing ,to consume, of any type this is where it’s at !! I’ve moved to prenventative protocol ! Added pic of a hover fly ..which is an aphid and thrip eating machine in its larva stage And also of a spined soldier beetle which also preys on those pests ! This looks s after the plants were treated multiple times ..proves it doesn’t harm beneficial insects !! 500 stars if it were possible
This works great and the fact that it is organic and food grade makes it a perfect choice. Nothing is full proof and once disease sets in it is hard to eliminate regardless of the treatment but this slows/ stops the progression. I mostly use for disease so can’t say if insect control is as effective. I suggest using to prevent by spraying before the issue shows up. Purchased 3 times and will again and again. Note there is a shelf life especially once opened so pay attention! but I got desperate and used an open bottle from the previous year and it seemed to work.
Leaves a slightly greasy residue though, expected since the active ingredients are corn oil and water. I’ve eradicated spider mites on my indoor plants after following the guidelines for severe infestation. I have a pet at home so this is the perfect product. The only downside is the short shelf life. I kept the rest of the bottle in the fridge so hopefully that helps with its shelf life.
FAQs about GrowSafe bio-pesticide
To calculate the mixing ratio, use the following formula:
Water amount x GrowSafe percentage = Amount of GrowSafe you need to add
For example:
- If you are using 24 ounces of water and need a 2% GrowSafe solution, you would calculate as follows:
24 x 0.02= 0.48oz (or 14.5ml)
Add 0.48oz GrowSafe to 24oz of water to acheive 2% solution - If you are using 32 ounces of water and need a 2.5% GrowSafe solution, you would calculate as follows:
32 x 0.025=0.8oz (or 25ml)
Add 0.48oz GrowSafe to 32oz of water to acheive 2.5% solution
- Avoid spraying before upcoming rain. GrowSafe is highly soluble in water and will be washed away during rain. Resume spraying once the rain has stopped and the plants are dry.
- Avoid spraying when temperature is above 85 degrees, spray in the late afternoon (6-8 pm) when there is no direct sunlight. GrowSafe is very safe in high temperatures as long as the plant is fully dry before it gets direct sunlight.
- Avoid spraying during day time with direct sunlight.
Yes, you can combine GrowSafe with many other products to improve efficacy and save time. The following products are safe to mix with GrowSafe:
- Insecticidal Soap
- Spinosad
- B.T. (Bacillus thuringiensis)
- Copper
- Pyrethrin
- AzaMax
Always follow the label instructions of the product you wish to combine and add 2% GrowSafe to the final solution.
Do not mix GrowSafe with other oils, such as Neem or Mineral oil, as it could burn your plants.
The longer the solution stays on the leaves before it dries, the better the results. Therefore, the best times to spray are early morning (6-8 am) or late afternoon (6-8 pm). Spraying during complete darkness is ideal if you have the option to do so.
Yes, you can use any type of sprayer as long as it provides good coverage. GrowSafe kills on contact, meaning it won’t kill the insects if you miss them. A quality sprayer is the primary factor between poor and great results.
To test if your sprayer is good enough, spray water on a mirror and see if you get an even, uniform coverage.
After spraying your plants, check the underside of the leaves to make sure they are all wet. If you see dry spots, spray again.
Yes, GrowSafe has an expiration date of 2 years for an unopened container. Once the container is opened, we recommend using it within 6 months.
Oil separation on the top layer indicates that the formula is no longer stable and won't be as effective as before.
